After looking through this great web site, I decided that I would like to implement it into my classroom. I am looking for resources like activities or games that would involve precalculus or calculus and how they can use it in the different careers on this site. Any ideas or suggestions?

Awesome astronaut activity using precalc

I was searching for activities for precalc and calc and I came across a great activity for precalc students that involves a career as a astronaut. If you go to http://virtualskies.arc.nasa.gov/aeronautics/youDecide/scenario.html it will provide you with all the resources you need. The activity is building a special kite and the programs used are actually developed by NASA!

Here's a good site

There are a number of cool math problems on this site: http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/farid/mathkids/

They cover computing the risk that you have a disease, to secret codes, to a mathematical way to show how fast a rumor can spread. Some of the problems are pretty interesting.

Here's an interesting story of a girl in Michigan with Grapheme-Color Synesthesia. In other words, she visualizes each digit, zero through nine, as a different color.

For her, and others with the same condition, it adds a new splash to math work.
